This course will run on Sunday. As a blended course, there is an online learning session that you can complete at a convenient time before the in-person class.
Prerequisites for the Renewal (vs the Provider) are:
Current Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certificate;
Current Heart & Stroke ACLS Provider Certificate; and
ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment Certificate (passing score = 70%)
The precise venue will be determined based on enrolment for the course and emailed to participants a week before class. Please ensure that you bring proof of your active HSFC certifications (if any) to the course. Depending on the type of course in which you have enrolled, the primary course contact may need to verify your current credentials.
And finally, please be sure that you have completed the ACLS Precourse self-assessment before we begin.
Please ensure that you have access to a Student Manual (2020 Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Manual #RE5610) for review before the course. Heart and Stroke also recommends that you have a copy of the handbook (2020 Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care for Healthcare Provider #RE0130) for reference before, during and after the class. You will also use the manual for reference during the course.
